HIFU
Non-surgical lifting and tightening
Focused ultrasound heats a deep layer under the skin to prompt new collagen. A gradual, no-downtime way to firm the jawline and lower face.
October 2026: 45% off HIFU. Details
Financing is available. Learn moreHIFU stands for high intensity focused ultrasound. A handpiece sends focused ultrasound energy to a precise depth under the skin, which warms the tissue and prompts your body to make new collagen.
It is a gradual treatment. Most people notice a change in firmness over two to three months as collagen rebuilds. It will not match the result of surgery, and we will tell you plainly if it is not the right fit.
How a visit goes
- 1
Consultation
We look at your face, ask what bothers you and what you want, and check that HIFU is a fit. Photos are taken for comparison.
- 2
Cleanse and mark
Skin is cleansed. We mark the treatment zones and apply ultrasound gel.
- 3
Treatment
The handpiece is passed over the marked areas in short pulses. You will feel warmth and brief tingling or pressure, strongest over bone.
- 4
Finish
The gel is removed and we go over aftercare. You can go straight back to your day.

How it compares to other options
Topical products work on the surface and cannot lift. Radiofrequency and lasers mostly act closer to the skin surface. HIFU focuses energy deeper, which is why it is used for the lower face and jawline.
Surgery changes tissue that has already slackened. HIFU asks your skin to firm itself, so the change is subtler and slower. Many people choose it because they are not ready for surgery or do not want the downtime.
Planning results
Collagen takes time. You may feel a little tightness within the first weeks, but the visible change usually builds around the two to three month mark.
We take photos at the start so you can compare. Because skin keeps aging, many people schedule a repeat session about once a year to maintain the effect. We will give you our honest view at the consultation and again when you come back.
Aftercare
- Skip heat and strenuous exercise for the rest of the day
- Use daily SPF
- Mild tenderness or a little swelling can appear and settles on its own
Questions
Does HIFU hurt?
Most people describe warmth and brief zaps of pressure, strongest over bony areas like the jaw. It is tolerable, and we adjust as we go.
How many sessions will I need?
Many people start with one session and reassess at about three months. We will give you an honest view at your consultation.
How long do results last?
Collagen is not permanent and skin keeps aging, so results fade gradually. Many clients repeat once a year.
Can I treat the neck or body?
Our current HIFU service is for the face. Ask us about the neck at your consult.
Can I have HIFU and microneedling?
Yes, they work in different ways and are sometimes combined. We will tell you how to space them.
Who should not have HIFU?
If you are pregnant, have an active infection in the area, or have certain implants or medical conditions, we may advise against it. Tell us your full history at the consultation.
Will I look different right after?
You may look a little flushed for a few hours. The firming effect appears gradually over the following months.
Results vary from person to person. Ask us anything before you book, and we’ll tell you honestly whether it suits you.
